Madame Gary's Classroom
About Madame Gary
Elise Gary is from Paris, France. She relocated to the United States 13 years ago and teaches at Serninos Middle and High School.
She spent 15 years living in England, where she had a successful career as a flight attendant with major international airlines. Her extensive travels to countries such as Japan, China, Thailand, India, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Brazil, and many others have enriched her cultural understanding. This global exposure has shaped her into a genuinely
cosmopolitan individual.
Ms. Gary earned her MBA with a concentration in Marketing in 2017. During that time, she worked as a Department Sales leader at a luxurious store named Neiman Marcus. Gary is married to a US combat veteran who served 21 years in the Army as Special Forces.
Education was a natural choice for Gary. She realized how much one can learn from students and their experiences through teaching. Their ability to demonstrate acquired concepts and reflections was quite impressive. These intangible skills are some factors that do not all develop similarly. The experience of observing her students inspired Elise to learn more about what could be a driving force or breaking point in human development.
Gary is pursuing a doctoral degree of Philosophy in General Psychology: Integrating Technology, Learning, and Psychology at Grand Canyon University. Her research explores mood fluctuations experienced by young adults raised in socioeconomically disadvantaged households.
